And again and again with folded hands requested all the relatives that you will take the same measures, so that all our mothers remain happy and not sad in our separation.
पुस्तक का संक्षिप्त विवरण:
मानस-प्रेमी महानुभाव प्रसिद्ध रामभक्त वै० श्रीजय रामदास जी 'दीन' रामायणी के नाम से भलीभाँति परिचित हैं। आपके मानस सम्बन्धी भावपूर्ण लेख समय-समय पर 'कल्याण' में प्रकाशित होते रहे हैं, जिन्हें पाठक बड़े चाव से पढ़ते रहे हैं। 'कल्याण' के अनेक पाठक-पाठिकाओं के अनुरोध से उन्हीं में से चुने हुए ३५ लेखों का संग्रह पुस्तकरूप में मानसप्रेमी जनों की सेवा में प्रस्तुत किया जा रहा है। लेखोंमें 'मानस' के गूढ़ रहस्योंपर प्रकाश डालनेकी चेष्टा की गयी है।
परन्तु इतना अन्तर था कि श्रीलखनलालकी सेवा संयोगावस्था सम्बन्धी अर्थात् भजनरूपकी थी। उनको स्वामीकी सन्निधि में हुजूरीमें समस्त परिचर्या के लिये सदा तैयार रहनेका योग था और श्रीभरतजी की सेवा वियोगावस्थासम्बन्धी अर्थात् स्मरणरूप की थी जो उनकी इच्छाको दवा करके स्वीकार करायी गयी थी। अतएव परतन्त्र सेवाका आदर्श बनने से श्रीभरतजीकी निष्ठा 'विशेषतर' धर्मकी मानी गयी है।
श्रीमुखवचन है कि 'माताजी! वही पुत्र भाग्यशाली हैं, जो अपने पिता-माताका आज्ञाकारी हो । समस्त संसार में वही पुत्र दुर्लभ माना जायगा, जो अपने माता-पिता की सेवा में रत हो। इसी प्रकार वनयात्रा के समय आपने श्रीजानकीजीसे कहा कि 'सुमुखि ! मैं सौ बार शपथ करके कह रहा हूँ कि मैं तुम्हें केवल माताओंके हितके लिये ही अयोध्या में छोड़ रहा हूँ । और बारंबार दोनों हाथ जोड़कर समस्त पुरजनोंसे विनती की कि आपलोग वही उपाय कीजियेगा, जिससे हमारी सभी माताएँ हमारे विरहमें दुखी न होकर सुखी रहे।
