बच्चों को, उत्तराधिकार में धन नहीं, गुण दें - लोग - कारोबार करते, परिश्रम-पुरुषार्थ करते और जरूरत से कहीं ज्यादा धन-दौलत जमीन-जायदाद इकट्ठी कर लेते हैं । किसलिए ? इसलिए कि वे यह सब अपने बच्चों को उत्तराधिकार में दे सकें । बच्चे उनके अपने रूप होते हैं । सभी चाहते हैं कि उनके बच्चे सुखी और समुन्नत रहें, इसी उद्देश्य से वे कुछ न कुछ सम्पत्ति उनको उत्तराधिकार में दे जाने का प्रयत्न किया करते हैं। किसी हद तक ठीक भी है । जिनको कुछ सम्पत्ति उत्तराधिकार में मिल जाती है उनको कुछ न कुछ सुविधा हो ही जाती है । किन्तु यह आवश्यक नहीं कि जिनको धन-दौलत, जमीन-जायदाद उत्तराधिकार में मिल जाए उनका जीवन सुखी ही रहे । यदि जीवन का वास्तविक सुख धन-दौलत पर ही निर्भर होता तो आज भी सभी धनवानों को हर प्रकार से सुखी होना चाहिए था । बहुत से लोग आए दिन धन-दौलत कमाते और उत्तराधिकार में पाते रहते हैं । किन्तु फिर भी रोते-तड़पते और दुःखी होते देखे जाते है । जीवन में सुख-शान्ति के दर्शन नहीं होते । सुख का निवास सद्गुणों में है, धन-दौलत में नहीं । जो धनी है और साथ में दुर्गुणी भी, उसका जीवन दुःखों का आगार बन.....
