Short Description Of The Book:
The Bāburnāma (Chagatay: بابر نامہ, lit. 'History of Babur' or 'Letters of Babur'; alternatively known as Tuzk-e Babri) is the memoirs of Ẓahīr-ud-Dīn Muhammad Bābur (1483–1530), founder of the Mughal Empire and a great-great-great-grandson of Timur. It is written in the Chagatai language, known to Babur as Türki ("Turkic"), the spoken language of the Timurids. During the reign of emperor Akbar, the work was translated into Persian, the usual literary language of the Mughal court, by a Mughal courtier, Abdul Rahim Khan-i-Khanan, in AH 998 (1589–90 CE).

(चग़ताई/फ़ारसी: بابر نامہ) या तुज़्क-ए-बाबरी मुग़ल साम्राज्य के पहले सम्राट बाबर की आत्मलिखित जीवनी है। यह उन्होंने अपनी मातृभाषा चग़ताई तुर्की में लिखी थी। इसमें उन्होंने अपना उज़्बेकिस्तान की फ़रग़ना वादी में गुज़ारा हुआ बचपन और यौवन, बाद में अफ़्ग़ानिस्तान और भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप पर आक्रमण और क़ब्ज़ा और अन्य घटनाओं का विवरण दिया है। उन्होंने हर क्षेत्र की भूमि, राजनीति, अर्थव्यवस्था, प्राकृतिक वातावरण, शहरों-इमारतों, फलों, जानवरों, इत्यादि का बखान किया है। इसमें कुछ फ़ारसी भाषा के छोटे-मोटे छंद भी आते हैं, हालांकि फ़ारसी बोलने वाले इसे समझने में अक्षम हैं। हालांकि चग़ताई भाषा विलुप्त हो चुकी है आधुनिक उज़बेक भाषा उसी की वंशज है और उसे बोलने वाले उज़बेक लोग बाबरनामा पढ़ सकते हैं। इस किताब को चग़ताई और उज़बेक भाषाओं के साहित्य का एक महत्वपूर्ण अंग माना जाता है।
